How Much Do Lash Extensions Cost in London? A Full Price Breakdown

lash prices Oct 12, 2026
Lash extension pricing in London is all over the place. You'll find sets advertised for £25 on one side of a high street and £250 on the other, often without any clear explanation of what the difference actually is.

I've been doing lashes professionally for 11 years. I've also trained hundreds of lash artists, which means I've seen the economics of the industry from every angle. This is a straightforward breakdown of what lash extensions actually cost in London, what drives the price difference, and what you should expect to pay for work that's genuinely good.

These prices sit in the mid-range for London. They're not the cheapest, and they're deliberately not the most expensive,  they reflect the cost of doing this properly, with trained technicians, quality products, and a real consultation before your appointment.

Why Do Lash Extension Prices Vary So Much in London?

The short answer: there's no regulation. Anyone can call themselves a lash technician and start charging money. The price you see on a website doesn't tell you much without context.

Here's what actually drives the variation:

Technician experience and training

A lash artist who trained on a two-day course with a non-accredited provider will almost always charge less than one who completed accredited training and has years of client work behind them. That gap in price reflects a gap in skill, technique, and knowledge of things like lash health, adhesive application, and how to adapt a style to different eye shapes.

Products used

Cheap lash extensions, particularly synthetic ones made from poor-quality fibres, look and feel different from high-grade extensions. Adhesive quality also matters enormously. A bad adhesive is the number one cause of lash damage and premature shedding.

Location

A studio in Mayfair pays different rent to one in Walthamstow. That cost gets passed on. Central London lash salons regularly charge £80–£180 for a classic set. The same quality of work is available in East London for significantly less.

Studio overhead vs mobile technician

A mobile technician working from your home will typically charge less than a studio-based artist, their overheads are lower. The trade-off is that you have less quality control over their environment and, often, their equipment.

Model rates

Some salons offer "model rates" for clients who book with trainee artists. At House of Lashè, our Academy Talent, hand-picked trainees who are completing their in-salon training, offer sets at reduced rates. This is supervised work in a real studio. It's a genuine option if budget matters.

What Should You Actually Expect to Pay?

Here's a rough landscape of London lash pricing by tier:

Budget (under £40 for a full set)Usually a trainee, mobile technician, or someone who trained very recently. Not automatically bad, but investigate who's applying them and what training they have. Patch testing is often skipped at this level, which is a risk.

Mid-range (£40–£80)This is where most established salons in zones 3–6 sit, and where independent artists with a few years of experience tend to price. At this level, you should expect a proper consultation, verified products, and demonstrated technique. Most of our pricing sits here.

Premium (£80–£180+)Central London, Mayfair, Knightsbridge, celebrity-adjacent. The quality can absolutely justify the price, but it doesn't automatically. You're also paying for the postcode.

What's Included in the Price?

This varies by salon, but at House of Lashè, every appointment includes:

  • Full consultation before we start

  • Patch testing for first-time clients

  • The treatment itself

  • Aftercare advice and product recommendations

  • A follow-up if something isn't right

We don't charge for consultation time. We don't add hidden fees. The price we show is the price you pay.

How Often Do You Need to Come In?

This affects the real cost of lash extensions in London more than the headline price.

Most clients need infills every 2 to 3 weeks. Leave it longer than three weeks and you'll typically lose too many extensions to top up, you'll need a full set rather than an infill, which costs more.

Cost per month, typically:

  • Two infills per month = £90 - £120 depending on style

  • One full set every 6 weeks + one infill = roughly £120–£150 per month

That's the realistic ongoing cost of maintaining lash extensions. If you're planning your budget, work with that figure rather than just the headline price of a full set.

Is It Worth It?

That's genuinely a personal question, but here's what I'd say.

If you're paying £25 for a set and it's done by someone who rushed the consultation, skipped the patch test, and used a cheap kit, you're likely to spend more money fixing it than you would have spent getting it done properly in the first place. Damaged natural lashes take months to recover.

If you spend £50–£65 on a well-applied set, maintain the aftercare, and get infills regularly, extensions are one of the most time-efficient beauty treatments available. No mascara, no eye makeup routine, eyes look open and defined from the moment you wake up.

The cost per wear, when you account for that, is genuinely reasonable.

What About Lash Lifts?

If you have good natural lash growth but want definition without the maintenance commitment of extensions, a lash lift might be a better option.

A lash lift curls your natural lashes and typically includes a lash tint. It lasts 6 to 8 weeks, requires no infills, and costs £35 at House of Lashè. It doesn't add length or volume the way extensions do, but it's very low-maintenance and looks great for a lot of clients.

If you're not sure whether to go for extensions or a lift, book a consultation, we can look at your natural lashes and tell you honestly which will give you the result you're looking for.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do classic lash extensions cost in London? Prices typically range from £30 to £150 for a full set depending on the technician's experience, location, and the products used. At House of Lashè in East London, classic lash extensions start from £50. See our  full pricelist .

Why are some lash extensions so cheap? Cheap sets usually mean less experienced technicians, lower-quality products, or both. Unregulated pricing in the UK means anyone can offer lash extensions at any price. Always check training, reviews, and ask whether a patch test is included.

Are Russian volume lashes more expensive than classic? Yes, because they're more technically demanding and take longer to apply. At House of Lashè, Russian volume sets start from £60 vs £50 for classics.

What's the cheapest way to get good lash extensions in London? Model-rate bookings with trainee artists are the best way to access quality work at reduced prices. Our Academy Talent at House of Lashè offer supervised sets at model rates, trained in a real working salon, not a college classroom.

Do lash extension prices include infills? No, infills are separate appointments booked every 2 to 3 weeks. At House of Lashè, infills start from £25 with a trainee.

Why are lash extensions cheaper in East London than Central London? Largely rent. A salon in Mayfair or Chelsea has significantly higher overheads than one in Walthamstow. The quality of work can be identical,  and in some cases, East London artists have better technique because they work higher volume.

Is a patch test included in the price? At House of Lashè, yes, patch testing for first-time clients is part of the process, not an add-on. It needs to happen at least 24 hours before your appointment.
